Our Caring Candies 50g Sucrose Free Plain Milk chocolates are free from all “Nasty Stuff”, which means they are sucrose-free, artificial sweetener-free, artificial colourant-free, preservative-free.
In addition, they have very few common food allergens, which makes them soya-free, and nut-free also. They are very low in Nett or Glycaemic Carbs, are Tooth-Friendly, Kosher Milchik, and Halaal Certified.
Suitable for Lacto-Vegetarians, Diabetics, those with ADD/ADHD, Coeliac Disease, the Health Conscious, and those following a Gluten-Free, Banting, Keto, or Low Carb Lifestyle.
Ingredients and Nutrition Facts
Ingredients: Maltitol (powdered)*, Cocoa Butter, Cocoa Mass, Full Cream Milk Powder, Skim Milk Powder, Non Hydrogenated Vegetable Fat (Palm Fruit), Sunflower Lecithin, Natural Vanilla Flavouring.
Allergens: Contains Cow's Milk. Some of the ingredients come from a supplier who has Tree Nuts and Soy beans on the premises. Allergen Control Program in place.
*Maltitol is a natural sugar-free sugar substitute, which is very low in glycaemic carbs, it's tooth-friendly, and is ideal for diabetics or those following a low carb lifestyle. Please note that maltitol comes in two variants - maltitol syrup, which has a high gi, and maltitol powder, which has a low gi. We naturally use the powdered maltitol with the lowest gi.

Store in a cool, dry place away from heat.
If chocolate products become too warm the cocoa butter separates causing a white/greyish "bloom" on the surface. The chocolate is still perfectly safe to eat, but does not look as appetizing ;)
Possible Laxative Effect
Sugar-free products work in the body like dietary fibre. For this reason, we recommend you limit yourself to around 25g (half a chocolate bar) per day in the beginning to avoid a possible laxative effect.

Sugar-Free vs Sucrose-Free Labelling
Our milk chocolates are labelled SUCROSE-FREE because they contain dairy, which naturally contains a type of milk sugar called "Lactose". For this reason, by law, one cannot say they are SUGAR-FREE, but rather they are SUCROSE-FREE, which is our way of letting you know that NO SUGARS HAVE BEEN ADDED. Diabetics and those following a low-carb eating plan are permitted to have dairy (milk), so these are perfectly fine for Diabetics and Low-Carbers to enjoy!
Our 70% Dark chocolate variants (70% Dark with Mint Crunch and our 70% Dark with Sour Cherry Crunch) are SUGAR-FREE as they contain no Dairy and no sugars have been added.
