Konjac is a 100% natural, gluten-free food that is non-allergenic. It is derived from the Konjac plant and is virtually free from calories and net carbohydrates.

- Open the packet and DRAIN the rice through a large mesh strainer or in a colander, RINSING it 2-3 times under running water.
- Gently saute the rice in a large cast iron or non-stick skillet with no oil over low heat until the rice grain starts popping and are no longer watery (about 10 minutes).
- Add to any dishes you like and seasoning.

Typical Nutritional Information
Since konjac (shirataki) rice is low carb and non-starchy, it’s best used in stir-fry dishes. I won’t, however, work well to replace rice in sushi or dishes that need high starchy/sticky content to bind the ingredients together.
