In 2003, I (Denise) was put on a very restrictive eating plan by my Homeopath, which excluded sugar, gluten, and dairy. Unfortunately, all the sugar-free products available were full of artificial ingredients and made me feel even worse.
Demand soon exceeded our early production capabilities, so in 2007 we moved into our first factory premises, hiring both skilled and unskilled labour from the local informal settlement. We have since expanded several times into food-safety-certified premises, consistently achieving audit scores above 99 percent.
