Are Caring Candies Food Safety Certified?
Yes! We are so proud to announce that we achieved a WHOPPING 97.6% for our Annual Food Safety Audit. Those of you who are in the food industry will understand what an unbelievable achievement this is. Those of you not in the food industry...well now you know!
Caring Candies is working towards FSSC22000 accreditation. We implement a HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) practice which allows us to take a PREVENTATIVE approach to food safety, by identifying possible food safety hazards and then putting in place methods to eliminate these hazards before they become a risk.
Our food safety standards don’t end there. At Caring Candies, we endeavour to exceed our customers’ expectations, as such, we have gone a step further in food safety standards and are working towards FSSC 22000 accreditation. This puts Caring Candies into an elite international club of food manufacturers that are compliant with GFSI. This Means Caring Candies meets the strict safety requirements and can supply to blue chip global companies, which all require a GFSI Scheme.
We are audited annually by an internationally recognised certification body for food safety programmes, who audits our food safety systems, processes, and products to relevant international standards.
Even though sugar-free products are LOW RISK for producing microbes, it is the policy of Caring Candies to regularly perform microbiological tests on hand swabs, surface swabs, perform a water analysis, finished product analysis, and end of shelf life analysis by a SANAS-accredited Laboratory.
All our food handlers receive adequate and continued training in the hygienic handling of food and in personal hygiene. This includes Personal Hygiene, Correct Hand washing procedures, relevant Company Policies and Procedures, Pest Control, Allergen Management, etc.
